WHere is a simplified interpretation of a beverage featured on our latest drinks list. This is a batch prepared mix that is packed full of tastes of a Christmas time, making it ideal for a holiday party. Save the extra syrup to use in breakfast cocktails, sweets, or for more rounds of the drink.
The Bikini Cocktail
Yields 10 guests
For the Clementine Cordial (yields 750ml)
300ml newly squeezed clementine juice
200ml newly squeezed lemon juice
500g granulated sugar
Ingredients for the Drink (produces 850ml, serving 10)
400ml premium vodka
100ml dry gin
150ml peach liqueur
200ml clementine syrup (see above)
Whole cranberries, for garnish
Mandarin essential oil, for finishing
Instructions
To prepare the Citrus Syrup: Put every components into a pot, heat until it reaches a simmer, agitating until the sugar dissolves. After that, remove from the stove allowing it to cool down completely. Pour into a clean bottle, seal keeping it in the refrigerator, it will last for up to one month.
For the Batch Mix: Pour all the liquid ingredients in a big jug, allow it to infuse for 60 minutes, then filter it best through cheesecloth, making it perfectly clear.
When ready to serve: Add 85ml from the cocktail base into a stirring glass packed with ice, gently stirring lightly for about 60 seconds to cool it down. Pour into a cold coupe glass or equivalent, top with the cranberries adding the final touch by giving it a light spray of mandarin oil above the glass.
